Updated: Nov 4

The San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity, held a 'raise the roof' gala event to honor and support Altadena. It was held on Saturday September 27th 2025, and brought together like minded individuals to be part of something bigger, by honoring resilience, raising funds and helping in building a home. The event was also there to support families and businesses that were lost in the Eaton fire. This years gala shines the light on what makes Altadena unique to the rest of the community.

The approach towards this, is centered on community inclusivity, therefore, each dollar raised will directly support long term efforts in restoring homes and helping families navigate the challenge of rebuilding homes. Through partnerships from different companies and listening to the residents, great action is being taken in ensuring the safe restoration of their homes. Senator Susan Rubio was in attendance and shared some words of encouragement towards the attendees. A special thank you to the wonderful sponsors who came through in supporting this community event. They were as listed; Los Angeles Federal Credit Union, Edison International, MMA Architecture, South Coast AQMD, Foothill Transit, KPMG, Positive Investments, Bluebeam, City of Hope, Grifols and James Hardie.

The 2025 raise the roof gala honored these eye raisers from three different categories. The first category was Roof raiser which went to Totten Tubes Foundation, The Ace Cain Honoree which went to Loryn Arkow and Hogan Lovells LLP, while the community builder award went to Altadena Builds Back Foundation. These three showed resilience and resolution in coming together as a community and achieving the best results. The guests were able to enjoy a silent auction, smooth music , sport tossing donation games and connecting with kind, like minded people who came to uplift each other, proving that when compassion meets action, real change happens.

The Next Level 24/7 president D'Angelo McCornell , served as a representative of Spectrum during the event. Next Level 24/7 as a team, is proud to help in showcasing our partnership as a Hope Build Sponsor and is now a part of the new 25 homes that are set to be rebuilt in the next few months in Altadena. We are once again forever happy and proud to support Habitat for Humanity's commitment to building stronger communities, one home at a time.
