On the week of October 14 to October 18th the construction Inclusion Supplier Diversity Week kicked off with high energy. Each day of the week focused on different themes whose aim was to create a more welcoming and inclusive environment by providing the right resources and encouraging participation from different companies. The themes in descending order were: Commitment & Accountability, Belonging, Supplier Diversity, Workplace Culture and Community Engagement. The event was held to commemorate four years of supplier diversity which celebrated companies connecting, collaborating and supporting it's evolution.

The Construction Inclusion week event was started back in 2021 whereby 15 general contractors in the industry were in the marketplace connecting, Britney Parkinson of the Turner Construction Company reported. This event was no mistake, a great opportunity to learn more about how the industry can be more inclusive, and to celebrate commitment to diversity in construction. Briana Weaver who is the manager of diversity at PCL Construction, stated that everyone in attendance were dedicated to the same initiative which is each different business is able to maximize opportunities for small, local and diverse firms to work on different projects.

Attendees were guided by Traci Watson president of NAMC SoCal, that the meeting was not just about being in your office but going out and making relationships with other business partners. Various attendees from different companies, appreciated the opportunity to help their businesses grow.
